Last day (in Robert´s summer house)

Before Graham ´s departure

The workcamp comes to the end,there are several departures during the day.

We are lucky because we can enjoy one more day on this wonderful island with Khrystya , Igor and Peppino.

We had two great weeks in Mariehamn.we would like to thank all the Emmaus team ( Robert ,Carina , Frans, Matte , Kajia , Lorkta ,Svetlana , .....) for this awesome camp.

A special thank you to Frans for all the time he spent with us and all the things he organised.

Le camp touche à sa fin , les départs se succèdent tout au long de la journée. Nous avons la chance de profiter d´une journée de plus sur cette belle île en compagnie de Khrystya , Igor et Peppino.
Nous avons passé deux superbes semaines à Mariehamn.
Nous voudrions remercier toute l´équipe ( Robert, Frans, Carina, Matte, Kajia, Lorkta, Svetlana,etc..) pour ce merveilleux camp.
Un special merci à Frans pour le temps passé avec nous , et toutes les choses qu´il a organisé.

Hello!

We send some photos from the camp for you to see. We also want to thank you all for the lovely camp, it was nice to get to meet you all! And special thanks to Frans, Robert, Carina, Kaija and everybody from Emmaus for organizing such a wonderful camp. We´re impressed about your hospitality and the good work you do in Emmaus Åland. Sunday time

The wether was very rainy today, but it dosent chang oure grait plans! At 13.00 we was ready to go to the Eckero. There we was in the museum of oldest post office in the Aland island.

Near the museum in the nice cafe we have sweet coffy break))) we eat very diferent chocklad sweets and drink coffy.

After meeting a new member of oure camp Paivi from Finland, we went to the nice beach. The sea was not so quiet, the waves was strong but we go to swim there.

Our last days

Today is not a working day, we are on week-end. We cleant up the house all together. Tonight we went to the Hiroshima commemoration at the Sea Quarter.Carina talked about Hiroshima,then we had some music,we heard about an organisation which helps Japan .We saw a fisher dance from north Japan.Then we put candles on the sea,that was beautiful when the sky got dark.We also had music from the Balkans at the café.It was a great evening =D.
 
We did a lot of things since the last article so we will try to tell you everything.

On wednesday Pepe introduced us his organisation in Peru called Cuna Nazareth with pictures; it was very interesting.
Then we talked about Emmaus history, how it started with l´Abbé Pierre and what Emmaus brings to us.
At noon some of us went to a concert of classic music at Mariehamn´s church. During the afternoon some of us went to Godby and the others stayed at Mariehamn to sort clothes to Peru.
At 8pm Frans drove us to a finnish sauna! It was amazing to be in this warmth and then go outside and swim in the cold sea! Great experience :)

Thirsday was a work day in godby for all of us. We repared the fences, took the wood away and did many other things...
Afterwards Carina showed us the Åland´s Parlement and we could visit inside! then we went to a bar on the harbour.

Yesterday we worked in both Godby and Mariehamn. We had a very good lunch at Emmaus Byggretur and then we said goodbye to Pasi&Maija who had to  go back to Finland.
At the evening, Robert and Frans drove us by boat to a cliff. Frans, Graham and Igor jumped from 10 meters to the sea !!
